Mrs. Breanne Venios - Principal
Mrs. Venios started her career as a secondary ELA teacher in 2006 and moved into administration in 2014. In 2022, she transitioned into an Educational Consultant role, working as a Training and Technical Assistance Consultant for Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), Autism, and Inclusive Practices. Mrs. Venios accepted the Hollidaysburg Senior High School Principal position in 2025.
She earned her B.S. in Education with concentrations in English Language Arts and Communications from Penn State University. She earned her M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction and her Principal Certification from Gannon University.
Mrs. Venios lives with her husband and two children in Hollidaysburg. She is thrilled to be in her home district and working with the amazing students and staff at HASHS.
Mr. Kevin McCloskey - Assistant Principal
Kevin McCloskey serves as Assistant Principal at Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School, bringing more than 27 years of educational experience to his role. A lifelong educator and leader, Mr. McCloskey began his career with the Hollidaysburg Area School District in 1999 as a Biology teacher, during which he developed a reputation for creating engaging, student-centered learning experiences and for fostering strong relationships with students, families, and staff.
Mr. McCloskey earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Coaching from Shippensburg University and a Master of Science degree in Biology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He later earned his principal certification from Saint Francis University, further strengthening his commitment to educational leadership and student success. Throughout his career, he has remained dedicated to continuous improvement in educational practice, curriculum development, instructional leadership, and student achievement.
Mr. McCloskey's dedication to education has been recognized through numerous honors, including the Saint Francis University Dr. John Powers Outstanding Educator Award, the Hollidaysburg Area School District Foundation Teacher of the Year Award, and the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s Keystone Technology Integrator Award.
Beyond the school day, Mr. McCloskey is committed to serving his community through his volunteer work with Scouting America and through environmental conservation projects throughout the region. He believes that every student deserves opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed, and is passionate about creating a positive school culture where all students can thrive.
Mr. McCloskey is proud to serve the students, families, staff, and community of the Hollidaysburg Area School District.
Mr. Adam Mathias - Dean of Students
Mr. Mathias began his role as Dean of Students in August 2023. He taught previously for 16 years as a special education teacher. He became a member of the teaching staff at Hollidaysburg High School in August 2021. Mr. Mathias received his degree in 2007 from West Virginia University.
Mr. Mathias lives in Hollidaysburg with his family and is glad to call Hollidaysburg his home.
